roger owen Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 I have a noisy outer N/S CV (noisy on cornering). I have bought a new complete drive shaft that looks as though it just bolts on at the gearbox end. I have a photocopy of a repair manual (VW Sharon) - but the procedure seems very long winded and does not mention bolting on at the gearbox end. I've either been sent the wrong shaft or the manual refers to a different model (mine in a 2002 with 6 speed manual box). Does anyone have a simple guide for fitting? Thanks. Quote

I had the replace the drive shaft oil seal at the gear box and it was a sh1t of a job as you have to remove the drivers side to knock the passenger through using a special tool through the diff.
