Wheel Nuts, Not Locking.

My garage service has highlighted the missing locking wheel nuts, and has told me to get some more. I'd really rather not having locking ones, but can't find any ordinary ones anywhere... am I not looking in the right place? How much should I aim to pay? Is it just a case of buying the nuts and screwing them into a preordained hole? Is there something else I need to seat them into - or is that the wheel??? (Sorry, I just drive the thing...)
