M0GWR Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Hi people, well i fitted the gmax springs a few weeks ago and they seemed to have settled in now......but i seem to get the back out bottoming out and the arch's and tires are hitting, not all the time but when i have people sat in the back, the rear shocks are the original ford ones, i believe they are gas but i am not 100%. Any one else have the same issue? what have you done to cure it? I guess new rear shocks could help but again which ones to get? I am off to the south of France this week and i am a little concerned. Wheels are 18inch with 235/40/18. Just a couple of pic's of how the gal sits....see what you thinkhttp://homepage.ntlworld.com/jp.radioroom/pictures/102_0125%20(Large).JPGhttp://homepage.ntlworld.com/jp.radioroom/pictures/102_0126%20(Large).JPGhttp://homepage.ntlworld.com/jp.radioroom/pictures/102_0127%20(Large).JPG Edited May 23, 2010 by M0GWR Quote
Jayton Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I'm sorry what was the question again? I was drooling over the Scirocco rims. There's not much you can do without coilovers or air-ride, except puy it back to factory springs on the rear, which could throw out the handling. Quote
M0GWR Posted May 23, 2010 Author Report Posted May 23, 2010 I don't like the sound of stranded springs LOL car looks like it is on stilts  I just wondered if any one else had the same issue as me..........guess there is all ways the old grinder on the arch tick  I'm sorry what was the question again? Jayton Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 How silly of me, forgetting these beasts don't use conventional suspension - I blame the Guinness & heat  Still amazing to see they've made adjustable suspension for them though  Quote
v6mikey Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) So just a quick question then. If he put standard alloys back on the car, it would not rub the arch? Even if the car was fully loaded? Thanks. Sorry to hijack the thread. The ride height looks just right MOGWR, nice. Edited May 24, 2010 by v6mikey Quote
