Hi All

 

i have a error code on Vag Com

 

1.9TDi 2003 AUY engine

 

18039 P1631 Accelera.Pedal Pos.Sensor 1 Signal too High

 

car symptoms as in topic title, been happening for about a week, it happens in all gears, throughout rev range, but from stationary it sometimes holds back like its gonna stall.

 

i believe its the throttle position sensor, can you confirm chaps. If so can i buy just the sensor or do i need the whole accelerator pedal.

i have changed the pedal with included sensor, but still getting the same code after clearing it using the vag com

 

Signal too high (what does that actully mean in car tech terms !!)

 

Any help available please
