popeye2755 Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) It might also be a good idea to remove the mobile phone number... Good post by the way. Edited May 13, 2010 by popeye2755 Quote
kebrina Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Right, I only have one key. It's fully functional and remote locks/unlocks doors and starts engine. What do I do/where do I go to get another as cheap as possible. It had not occurred to me that only one key would be an issue, after all, only one person can drive it at a time - and it's not caused problems yet. TOUCH WOOD!! Quote
gregers Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 plenty of info on this site about the problems faced with only having 1 key. cheapest place ive found for another remote key is ebay,MAKE sure it has the correct frequency as the key you have already.key blanks can also be bought on the bay.and i managed to get my key cut at timpsons iirc 7-8 quid, ford wanted at least Quote
kebrina Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 How do I know what frequency to look for? Quote
kebrina Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Alright, I'm a stupid girl. Have now looked at the key... Quote
gregers Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 if its an orriginal remote key that came with the car,it should be stamped on the side of the horse shoe, something like, siemans 433.92 mhz/5wk4 790/97/98 or im sure it may be on the central locking module somewhere? Quote
