hi guys have a bit of a problem

ive just bought a 98 1.9 tdi ghia x and the drivers side windows {front & back}dont work

i can lower the passenger side from the drivers side switch but nothing else

has any one got a solution?

hi mate and welcome to the forum check your wiring in the door pillar boots pull the rubber boots back and check for broken or chaffed wiring.

chech faq in tec section tells how to repair.if not need a new switch but probably is wires as common problem best of luck

is the control box under the passenger seat on that model ? if it is remove the small panel and remove just incase like my Mk1 water ingress from the blocked windscreen drain had pooled in it and damaged the black control box, disconnect it all work again but lose the central locking interface till you can sort water out and replace with a new replacement off e-bay mine cost

ok guys problem sorted was just the red n yellow wire had corroded n snapped so quick repair lol
