2004 Tdi Wooshing Noise When Accelerating, Help?!

Hi

 

I had a wooshing noise like air being blown i guess when accelerating, but not immediately,probably when the turbo kicks in. This was initially under the front passenger floor. I took it in and had the exhaust replaced, it was badly corroded, however the wooshing noise remains but has moved to the front driver floor side. Chances are the blown exhaust made it sound as if the noise was in its original position.

 

Has any one any ideas?

 

I have gone back to the garage and the suggest it may be a turbo pipe, they are going to to a diagnostic check.

update; the garage couldnt fix it and have referred me to the Ford garage.

 

Any ideas anyone????
