Guest MJH Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 hey folks, I've got a 1998 Ka with grey bumpers. Can they be primed and painted and look OK? Or should I get new primed ones and paint, if so what price for them? Do later bumpers (2000 on, collection etc.) fit on earlier models??? :(

Don't know if you get the same smooth finish as the factory-painted bumpers though. Not sure if they are a different moulding without the "textured" finish of the "natural" coloured items.
Guest DervMan Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 "Collection" (standard painted) and "Non-Collection" are a slightly different shape, but both fit any 1.3 Ka. You can paint them, but you'll need rubberised paint (this may not be the correct name for it, heh) because the plastic expands in the heat, then contracts when it's cool - without decent paint they'll crack the first time you leave the Ka in the sun! :(
