Here goes,

Had a P Reg Galaxy from January 1999 to 2003 when I bought a 52 Reg Galaxy Diesel 1.9 - has been brilliant and done 105k miles to date.

BUT it has started to judder. At first I explored the wheels, drive shafts, brakes, loose items etc but no solution. It happens all the time now, always disappears when I put in teh clutch or change gear. Feels like the whole car is juddering fast and will shake itself to bits if i don't put the clutch in. Worse if accelerating up a hill at lower revs. Feels REALLy bad now and I need to get it fixed.

What is my probolem, some friends think its the Dual Mass Flywheel but what has gone wrong with it to cause an imbalance?? If it s the DMF can I fit a solid flywheel to my Galaxy?

Please help I am desperate.......... Jez

its something you can check yourself,do a search.

in fact only a few days ago someone asked about this.

undo bonnet (engine off)and grab hold of the front of the engine if it rocks easily then it might be the restrictor/bolt problem.
