Mirez Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 The halfords ones do not work with the McGuard nuts fitted by ford, the number should be somewhere - you can then get a replacement from McGuard. My local tyre depot have a McGuard master set for the Ford ones, may be an idea to try that just to get them off for the moment. Quote
Jayton Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 I thought places like halfrauds weren't allowed to sell these special tools to remove locking wheel nuts because the pikeys were using them and nicking wheels? Quote

Hi Mirez I have the original locking wheelnuts with a male spline type key. It is getting steadily more and more knackered - Where can I get a key? You say that ir is a mcgard key but as mine is a 2001 I am not sure. I can get them off but don't want to go to the expense of buying a complete new set unless I really have to. Cheers BJ Quote
Mirez Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 I would have thought it to be a Mcgard set but take a photo of the lockers and/or key and I'll let you know. There are a few places that can sell replacement keys, http://www.wheel-locks.co.uk/page.asp?id=keys is a good site. You'll need to know the key number though which should be either on a sticker inside one of the rear compartments, or in with the handbook pack, or with the key (if you still have the little bag it came in!)
