I have just ordered aero wipers front and rear for my mk1, front wiper arms needs to be altered from 11mm to 9 mm total cost of this was

any news on these yet ? i thought the mk1 could not be fitted with aero type blades, are they an ebay special ? are they these on ebay number 140352734823 looks a bit sus to me says they are for wipers with a side pin fitting which the gal dont have then you have to ask for a hook arm fitting, theres a box where you type the car you want blades for,,,,,,,,,,,, i typed in ford galaxy, took me to a home page with lots of headlight bulbs on ! odd Edited April 4, 2010 by marinabrid

my mk1 wipers are curved to meet the bottom of the screen.bosch ones from halfords

straight ones hit the screen trim at there ends.

i,ve got them on my rear screen and on my wifes scenic and they work great ,no judder and flex to fit the screen great.

but they dont do curved ones

that ebay no. related to some wipers for a chrysler voyager, is that right ? does the fact that they are not curved affect the wiping in any way, i suppose once you file down the galaxy arm to 9mm then you are not going to be able to refit original blades

it was the size i was after 28a, i emailed car parts market and was told that they only come in 9mm with the hook fitment so that's why i ordered them, these wipe the windows 100% better than the standard wipers, after you've tried aero wipers you wouldn't wont to go back to standard and at

my blades seem to be the other way round with the passenger blae on top and moving 1st, was yours the same and you swopped them somehow or are some galaxys fitted with a later wiper frame and spindel to have the drivers side move 1st which is how it should be i think

did you just use a heavy duty hand file for the job |?

 

does anyone know if you can change them round and get a good wipe

I used a dremel mini grinder, some galaxys have drivers first mine is a 1999 hope this helps
