Speakle Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Hi, I've been searching through the forum for the same problem I'm having but didn't find anything so here goes: I'm trying to get the remote central locking working. I've followed the instructions clearly and it just won't work. The car enters it's learning mode, the key flashes 5 times but the light on the door just stays on and won't give me a flash. I know I'm doing the procedure right because I successfully managed it on a friends Alhambra. His remote locking had never worked, a few seconds later and it was fully functional. Any ideas? Quote
Jayton Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Does the normal central locking work? IE. when you press the button with a key on it that's located on your drivers door card with all the electric window switches, does it lock the doors so they can't be opened from the outside - but can still be opened from the inside. Yes, that works fine. I also replaced the batteries in the key as a precaution. Quote
haymaker Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 I have the same problem on a Galaxy I just purchased. Key worked a couple of times from a short distance then stopped working. Managed to get it to re-program once in all the times I have tried but it stopped working about a day later. Would love to get it working too as running around to the driver side every time to open it for the kids is a pain. Quote
Audiman Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 I had similar issue on my Galaxy, changed the battery still fob intermittienly working.I dismantled the remote so many times to check the connectivity - no success Tried re-coding many times...no success I think the problem is that the fob doesn't re-synch. properly. Decided to purchase a new fob - fraud dealer wanted 1 hours labour plus parts + vat. I read an article regarding re-coding and told fraud I could code it in 10secs, why are you charging over Quote
Jayton Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 That's a point, try your friend fob on your car and when you're done recode his fob to his car again. Quote
