Hi, this is my first post

I have a galaxy 52 plate 1.9tdi Ghia.

I have had it just over 2 weeks and has full service history.

I got a flat tyre today and as the tyre started to deflate I lost all power from the engine. It seemed it went on limp mode. I had no warning light or anything on the dash. It doesnt have the ESP button, so I presume it doesnt have traction control. I stopped and changed the tyre and started on my journey again and the engine has returned to normal whilst driving home.

Is this a safety feature, or do i have a underlying problem.

The engine fault only occured when the tyre was deflating/deflated.

Hope someone can enlighten me.

There isn't any safety system on a Mk2 gal for detecting a flat tyre, its unlikely even ESP would have done anything unless you were pushing it into the corners at the time.

I wouldn't be overly concerned, its possibly the old sticking turbo problem that just happened to occur at the same time.
