new nige Posted March 20, 2010 Author Report Posted March 20, 2010 Thankyou, this application now loads on my work machine (unlike USB version), i have read various com port configutrations so confident to get up and running cheers Right this is clever stuff ;) , got my fault cods 65535 Internal Control Module Memory Error 35-10 Intermittent 00575 17-10 Please Register/activate-intermittant 17978 P1670 35-10 Please Register/activate-intermittant I seem to have the classic turbo cutting out at CIRCA 2500 RPM with associated loss of power. Cross referencing the code of interest (00575) to Ross Tech suggests 3 possibilities all N75 or hose related. Is it reasonable to now rule out all other sensors and poke about with hoses and N75 valve? If you start the engin with the interface connected will this bugger the interface as it dosnt seem to work now though this seems software dirven as the interface tests ok. Quote
Jayton Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 it should work with the engine on, I always plug it into the laptop, then interface under the fusebox, start the car then start the software on the laptop and run the scans. If you've got the full versions you can even get power graphs and all sorts or so I'm led to believe. Quote

Thanks Jayton, Vagcom worked fine first time in vista and then fell over, adjusting settings as per your vista suggestions sorted it and its now up and running on demand ;) . I was going to have a look at the hoses, general turbo hoses does anyone know if these are all the same diameter and can they be cut from a stock length? if so anyone know the specification? Quote
new nige Posted April 1, 2010 Author Report Posted April 1, 2010 Just a bit of feed back i solved my turbo problem it was a split hose now replaced and working fine. thanks to all those who responded, on turbo queries and vagcom (inparticular Jayton and tdi90) this cost about Quote
