Thanks Mirez now all ive got to do is find the bloody thing im damned if i can see it.

It will be on the end where the track rod end is screwed on like any other track rod wont it, or how would it lock it?

It may look like part of the track rod end casting after years of corrosion and the track rod end does not have a nut like thing as part of it.

There is a locking nut and the end of the track rod end has two flats so you can use a spanner to hold it when loosening the locking nut.

A liberal dose of WD40 or other penertrating oil is recommended 30 minutes prior to the the attempt if much corrosion is present.
