Galaxy Won't Start Or Turn Over

Hi,

 

New to site becuse now frustrated with Galaxy

History, Galaxy 2.3 zetec 03 good car no problems.

Recently car cut out on motorway, loss power, hard shoulder going again, but since then starting has been iratice.

power up turn but will not fire, all lights on.

garage dionostics indicate immobiliser problems, said use normal manual key.

This worked for short time but this morning no power, garage had briefed if the car will not start turn key leave 30 secs turn back to off and then try to start.

works after many attempts.

Read many forums on problems and relay 30 or 27 comes up as potential cause along with new key.

My hand book indicats that there is no relay 30 and 27 is Disconector brake Lights, Relay 14 is Engine Immobiliser.

Now desperate, can anybody help

Relay 30 is the one with 30 written on the top.....can't remember its actual number in the handbook.

 

It is at the lower relay plate, position can vary.

This is the power relay K108 known as C39 on the Mk2 Galaxy.

thanks for that,read the download previously,not being a car tech, is relay 30the relay which needs to be removed.

It is either that or new key???
