wolves Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 ejected the cartridge this morning so i could play a new cd inserted it the right way in within the space of two mins its gone awol all i got on head unit is cd1 pressed the other 5 numbers and still nothing un clipped the lead on side (what others have said) and waited no good it wont load the cds to play like no power getting to it anybody with any more ideas its the 5000 system ;) Quote

I can't remember if its on the back of the headunit or the changer but its 3amp IIRC Quote

I can't remember if its on the back of the headunit or the changer but its 3amp IIRCi have had the changer out tonight and cant see any fuse so will need to get head unit out if i can getsome pullers from work in morning for it cheers any way at least that gave me a place were to look it a funny how you do but i had this 12 month ago 2day when picked it up from ford dident notice till next day took it back and was only in the garage 15 mins at most so cant be a major problem he never did say what the trouble was. hope this is not going to be a bad couple of days as its got its mot on monday . I can't remember if its on the back of the headunit or the changer but its 3amp IIRC while at work took out head unit and put new fuse in and still dead so now considering 2 ideas 1 replace the 5000 tape unit and put the 6000 cd unit in(would this work with cd changer)2 ask the person we deal with at work who fixes all the car radios we send to him... If you have the radio code (or send me the serial ;) ) then unplug the power connector to the back of the headunit, wait a minute or so and the plug it all back in. Quote
