DimTim Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I see there are a few questions around this subject but nobody seems to have answered itIs it possible to swap a standard steering wheel from a Ghia with stalk cruise controls to a multifuction one and if so what is involved?? Quote

Finding the wheel will be the biggest challege and you'll also need the clockspring unit- everythings possible though! Quote
insider Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 There's also a separate control module required for the multifunction steering wheel so it won't be as cheap and straightforward as just changing the steering wheel. Quote

I have located a breakers that has a 2003 that's been dismantled with the multifunction wheel, but need to know all the other bits I need. I know I will have to change the stalk (left side) but didn't know about the module, do you know where it is situated and if there is anything else I need?? Quote

Is it the bit behind the steering wheel? Quote
Mirez Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Yup, its the bit behind the steering wheel that all the wiring passes through - you need to get the correct one though as its also the ESP steering sensor so if you have ESP and the other car hasn't or vice-versa then it won't work. The module IIRC sits in the fusebox level 3 but I can check that later for you. If you decide not to fit then I'll buy it all of you  Quote
