Auto Temp Control Vs. Climate Control - What's The Difference?

Pl excuse my ignorance.

 

I'm looking at buying a Shalaxy (Mk II) - the VW (and I think, the SEAT) is described in Autotrader 'Technical Details' as having dual zone climate control, whereas the Ford (Zetec and Ghia) is described as having dual zone air conditioning with auto temperature control.

 

Is there a difference - if so, what is it (cos it sounds the same to me!)?

climate control will regulate the temp automatically to your set preferance, air conditioning will need manual adjustments

to regulate the temp.

Sounds the same to me also.

 

Climate control and Auto temperature sound like it has the Climatronic Unit as opposed to the manual dial controls.
