Headlight Washer Cover Has Vanished

hi there, anyone know where i can pick up a new cover for my headlight washer as it has come off. i noticed a few times that the cover and washer had been stuck in the raised position but a little push soon solved it.iv a 2001 1.9 diesel.cheers

Looking at Ford catalogue depending on the side it should be following part numbers:

 

Item number 2 on the picture:

Cap LH YM21 17E827 BA Finish # 1108682

Cap RH YM21 17D808 BA Finish # 1108678

 

You may need also:

 

Item number 22 on the picture:

Retainer LH YM21 17A889 BA Finish # 1108665

Retainer RH YM21 17A888 DA Finish # 1108664

 

You should be able to get them from local Frauds.

Part 2 is stuck onto 22 - I'll be very suprised if you just need part 2 though as the bond is very strong. Where you say it didn't quite retract - there are locating stubs on part 22 that engage into holes in the bumper section and keep it aligned, if they fail to engage properly then it won't fully retract - the result is that with the tension the retainer pops off (its only held be two clips) and dissapears on the side of the road.
