I also have found them difficult to use, but they contain a lot of information, the wiring diagrams are better than Haynes, although they are set out in a similar way and you would expect the TIS ones to be more accurate for your particular model.

Although I have found Ford diagrams notoriously difficult to interprit because they are, in my mind old fashion; whereas for e.g. Vauxhall ones are more modern (drawn between the +12v & 0v rails on a ladder style) and very easy to read, like all modern wiring schematics.

I got one a couple of months ago and find it really difficult to use. Haven't managed to find anything of use as yet.

I use the Haynes manual and this forum (the greatest aid ever)

If anyone out there knows how to make the CD give really useful info, please post a step by step or at least a few tips.

Stick with it on the CD, they are very useful once you have learn't how to navigate them and how you do that depends on what you are looking for. Problem solving and rectifying is navigated differently from servicing and maintenance. Haven't needed to use mine much for a while so I can't remember exact details at the moment.

I have the TIS CD and use it mostly as reference. It is frustrating that there is no 'search' fuction on it! At least it gives enough info so that the stealerships can't give you the runaround. For a few quid it's a must have, IMO.

It's worth will vary with what people wish to do with their Galaxies but I have found the TIS cd very useful. It did take a while to get used to though.

I do feel, however, it could do with an improved user interface and a search facility.

Thanks for your views, I have received mine and have had a play with it. I agree with some of the comments in that it takes some finding out where it all is. I feel that if it was plugged into the ford network even more information would come out of it.

I am a bit old fasioned in that I prefer a book to ponder over when working on the car.

Mind you I prefered the old Haines format of books, this new layout is less user friendly IMHV it is more complecated in that all points relating to the Brakes for instance, were in the brake section, now you must zig and zag between service or repair jobs at different ends of the book.

Will continue with the CD, thanks for your views.
