Tailgate Rattle

Does anyone else suffer from a tailgate rattle, mine does it continuously while on the move and sounds like it isn't shut properly and after 4 years it's about time i looked at it lol. If anyone else has had the same issue have you come across a cure or any pointers as to where to start looking ?

Best way to check is to get in the back whilst someone is driving it to try and locate the source of the rattle.....obviously do this safely on a private road.

 

You may be able to identify better which part of the tailgate is rattling.

Lol there is a load of crap in there alright but now even my 10 stone rottie is complaining now ! it's deffo the tailgate, believe it or not everything on this Gal is working now but the bloody rattle :D

I had a problem with the tailgate lock. I adjusted the part fixed to the floor slightly ( there was a little movement in it). and this cured my problem although I also got the light/message on the dash telling me it was open.
