Hi peeps

Any one out there have any ideas on which tyres are best for my galaxy dont want to go the dunlop route again,

tyre size is 215/55/r16 95w

thanks

I need to replace the front 2 on our 2003 1.9TDi Galaxy. We did have Michelins which OK are pricey but compared to what I bought last time (Nexus or Nexen??) lasted at least twice as long.

Have Avons on the back which show little wear from ~2 years driving.

Looking for tyres for my 2005 TDI (215/55/16 97W reinforced)

I currently have Michelins which have worn well - looking on etyres.co.uk they have Michelin Primacy HP and HP DT1 tyres. Anyone know what the DT1 variant means ? They are quitre a bit cheaper. I can't see any reference to the DT1 type on the Michelin website either

Any ideas ?

I have Avon ZV3s on mine - my local National Tyres & Exhausts did a price match with a site on the internet, although I can't for the life of me remember what I paid. I do remember being pleased with the price though.

They seem to be wearing well so far.

Looking a bit closer at the etyres website I think the answer is that the DT1 tyres are NOT reinforced - hence no good for a Shalaxhambra.

Best price I can get is

Thanks for the reminder to upgrade my signature. We took the Mk 1 up to 160K miles and liked it so much that when the Mk3 was launched (we had a look but decided it was not a utility load carrier like the Mk2) we upgraded to a 1yr old Mk2 on which we have already put 40k enjoyable miles.

I have Avon ZV5 up front. Wear much poorer than original Michelins.

I use Tyre Shopper for the Galaxy and my little Punto. Very happy with the prices as they are actually National but undercut National prices. Fitted at National outlets just the same.

I put a pair of Marshal Matrac XM (another Kumho brand) on the front last year, no complaints, they seem to be very good tyres. Very highly reviewed against all major manufacturers in Auto Express report - cost me about Edited by sparky Paul
