Rear Door Problem

Hi,

My boot/rear door will not unlock with central locking, I have to open it with the key, checked the fuses under the dash and there doesn't seem that anything has blown. Also the interior clock has gone dim and wont keep its time, this has happened at the same time as boot fault, I am completley stumped !!! Any ideas???

Check the wiring in the "boots" at the top of the door. These have been known to fail.

 

If one of the connections is shorting out to earth this could bring the overall car voltage done enough to dim your clock, but don't hold me on that one. ;)
