Check the switch and wires to it would be my first port of call, next would be trying the swtich for the otherside (swap them over), if is still doesn't work start looking at replacing the electric window mech/motor.

do you have global opening/closing on your car?

as jay has said try looking closely at the wires, then take it from there.

have looked at wires, they seem ok,do you mean switching passenger side switch over to drivers one?as drivers side has 2 switches, drivers and front passengers.

I had this problem with my 98 galaxy. I pulled the switch out of the door you have to slide it one way or the other. Then I removed the multiplug and then pushed it back in . It did the trick and has been fine since hope this solves your problem.
