Just bought my first galaxy and its only got a tape deck stereo in the front. Ok it has a 6 cd multichanger in the back, but we live in the days of no tapes.

Can I fit, where from and how much for a cd stereo?

Hi Andy

I suppose the answer is yes, you can fit a new radio, but if you get a single CD radio, and your multi changer will not fit the new radio, (unless you get the same make)

so you have one one slot instead of 6 !

Another idea, why not get one of those FM transmitter things with MP3 (SD card) so you can put your music on the card, and play the files through the radio ?

cost of transmitter aprox

Even better - you can now get 'false cassettes' that take an SD card and will play that.

A quick ebay search threw up this, but there are similar ones around...

You can also get false cassettes that input your ipod signal instead

Either would be WAY cheaper and less hassle than replacing the audio head unit, but you may have other reasons to change - I ended up swapping mine for the built-in Sat Nav unit instead :D
