barryorba Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 hi, can anyone tell me which alternator i need for the above car, the alternator failed and was replaced about 18 months ago, the damn thing screams every time i take a tight corner, a friend said i should have an alternator with a clutch pulley, i think the garage put a bog standard golf alternator on . is there a site where i can punch in my vin and retrieve the spec for my car . regards barry Quote
