Graham S Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) Hi i wish to change the steering wheel on my 05 galaxy dieselcan any one help pleasethanks Hi, simple straight forward job, basically, fully disconnect the battery for about half hour to be safe of airbag deployment etc, remove the steering column shroud with a small (long) phillips screwdriver, if memory serves its about 5 screws, the turn the wheel to get to the back. You should be able to feel 2 holes near the centre, either side. a decent flat blade screw driver should be able to get through those holes and you need to push a metal clip to the side whilst gently pulling the airbag/centre part forward, repeat on the other side and once out unclip the airbag...Then with the right size torx socket (think T55 is the one) undo the bolt and pull the wheel forward. take note of where it comes off!Hope that helps. edit.... or use the link as above!
