Guest ianock Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Are/was the tensioner pulley being torqued to the correct amount? Have you old or new style galaxy? Quote
Topbloke Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 as an A A patrol i do go to a lot of failed tensioners/ idlers but not been to any galaxy's yet normally saabs n vauxhalls Quote
Guest ianock Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Done alot of old style galaxy tensioners but normally due to 'squeal' as tensioner seized.Suprised to see Saab have tensioner troubles :( ,not so surprised about Vauxhalls tho! Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Seeing as Saab are now owned by GM and are using adapted Vauxhall/Opel engines, perhaps it is not so surprising after all. Saab no longer use a V6 engine as it was the GM unit formerly used in the Omega, and now GM have stopped making it hence Saab can no longer offer a V6 :( Quote
