My ciggie lighter and both my aux power supplies don't work either and haven't in the week or so I've had the car, I've checked the fuses and replace them in case there was a micro fracture and they still don't work. This was really annoying when I bought the car because I picked it up from East London and live near Oxford... so had had no SatNav and had to wait for my brother in law to finish work and lead me to the M4.

any other ideas on how to get these working?

I have a Mkll and the fuses for cigar lighter and rear power socket are to the lower right hand side of the steering wheel below the main light switch, behind a pull down panel

Fuese 7 and 8 if i remember correctly, 10A for front and 15A for rear boot socket

I posted a query a while ago as my rear power socket kept blowing a fuse when i used a portable comressor

I've checked the fuses after replacing them and after trying to use my SatNav, they're not blown and don't work at all... :) I'm hoping my vagcom cable will come tomorrow and I will be able pin point the cause.

This should be fairly straight forward. All the cig lighter/12v sockets are fed from the same fuse, which one did you check/replace?

Should be Fuse 35 20amp

after alot of trouble and lack of the right info i have sorted it this fuse no 35 which does the cigar lighter and the rear sockets it is in the main fuse box right up high you have to get on your hands and knees to see it on the left hand side ive downloaded a diagram let me know how you get on but im sure this will fix it

ah ha! I replaced most of the ones stated in the manual. They were 7 & 8 iirc and as davewill said. I'm going out to replace my TPS and will give this a go, cheers bud! I'll let you know how I got on :)

I don't have a fuse 35. In my manual it says fuse 7 - 25Amp Cigar lighter. I checked the fuse again, still didn't work so replaced it with another and it still doesn't work.

I don't have a fuse #35, mine goes up to #34 and starts with #50 something and my fuse box is layed out different to that image, I think that may be the MK1 fuse box.

Ah, see I have a MK2, I checked fuses 7, 8 & 9 which are the cigar & 2 aux power sockets.
