Dave-G Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Well you can rule out a 90 if its a uk ghia model, and if you'd revealled it's age we might have been able to rule out a 130 bhp too Surely you have a registration document? Quote
Tigger Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Badge on the back if it has not been tamperd with. silver and red 115 all red 130. Also badge on engine cover will show you! Not many ford 130's about seem to be 115. Quote
Guest smurf Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Thanks guys yes mines a 2002 silver an red tdi badge so must be 115 but i have checked the reg docs and it dont say nothing there? dunno if theres any difference in the new v5 to the old one? Guest nimrod Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 To be sure you could check the corresponding code on the VIN plate in regards to the engine output from 2000 onwards secton 14 (second box down lhd side near the ford logo) A= 90 bhp B=115bhp no idea of any codes after this date, maybe someone with a later edition TIS could post the later codes? That and the fact that the 90 bhp model is only availble in LX forn with a manual gearbox, the 115 bhp model is available in manual form as LX, Zetec and Ghia and only Zetec and Ghia with an auto box and the 130 is only available in manual form no matter what the spec that should help you narrow down your search to what you bhp is a bit easier B) Quote
italiastar Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 I had the same query with mine. The V5 states it's a 130, but that would be what the garage told them - I was even more concerned when I saw that the 130 ones had a badge showing 130 - mine didn't. I asked the dealer, they confirmed it was a 130 but could not help with the badge. A quick call to SEAT customer services confirmed it was a 130 (but how can I really tell) and they told me to buy the badge. One major ruck later and they sent a badge to the dealer free of charge. One thing I can confirm - it does shift!! Quote
Guest nimrod Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 oops! italiastar, I think every one including myself has answered you question in regards to the Galaxy and not the Seat Alhambra of which you own! Quote
