millsy Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Hi all. First post (Although i registered in december as i drove to newcastle from my home in cornwall and had massive vibrations from the car which worried me so much, i joined here to investigate further, found it to be inner driveshaft as a few others had the same issue so, after driving it back now need to replace said driveshaft)Im hoping for a little info please so i can order the right part as im unsure on the info ive been given by the supplier of said part. A company on ebay autoware seem to be the cheapest.they are selling 3 kinds of driveshaft , 1 for an auto, 1 for a manual 90 hp, and 1 for a manual non-90 hp.heres is a link for 1, then check there other items for the othershttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT Anyway, i have called them and they say the correct one for my car is the 90hp one and i was under the impression mine was at least 110hp (its a 1.9tdi 6 speed manual) So really im after an idea if that is correct or not. Sorry for the long post but need to ensure all is good as im driving it to london next friday and its extremly juddery on acceleration. Millsy Quote
Mirez Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 I would STRONGLY recommend against that company, I bought two from there - one was damaged on arrival and it took ages to get a replacement sent with a lot of arguing, when they finally did replace it and both were fitted the problem was actually worse - Ford described the parts as very poorly manufactured, both ended up being scrapped for genuine Ford bits less then 3 months after being fitted and I ended up taking them to court (well almost as they finally gave in) to get my money back. Thank you, just what i needed to hear. Now the second problem is i have just phoned the local Ford dealers and they said.......wait for it........... Quote
Mirez Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Is that a fitted price? I'm sure I didn't pay that much for one from Ford. Thread Actually yes I did but that was fitted, there was some discussion at the time that the parts quite a bit cheaper from VW/Seat as they are techincally Vdub parts anyway. Whats the car BTW? Mine was a 2001 1.9 115 at the time. Edited January 6, 2010 by Mirez Quote

Mine was a 2001 1.9 115 at the time. Mine is a 2000 on a W reg (first of the newer shape) 1.9TDi 6 speed manual. Trouble is ive just (just as in last month) replaced the Clutch, Eccentric bearing and Dual Mass Flywheel ;) So im feeling the pinch to be putting more into it so soon. Ive been in contact with a friend of mine who has a trade account with our local independant motor factors and have ordered one new (NEW, not reconditioned and doesnt need my old one back) And ive been told it is a good qaulity replacement part and will sort any problems but they havent had any yet from the ones they have already sold, and all for a few pennies under Quote
