darren37 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 hello there im new on this and i was wondering if anyboy can give me some advice on a air con pump pulley and where to get one i have removed all the pump thinking it was that the relised the pulley comes off and the bearing are in the pully its self it has its own part number so i should be able to get one but does anybody know where from cause i know fords will want a lot for it thanks Quote
gregers Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) what are the problems you are suffereing from with the air-con?has the pump siezed up?does the clucth work? i bought an air-con pump from ebay(look at vw sharan/seat alhambra as well)but you have to make sure that they have the same part numbers. oh and welcome to the forum,darren. darren37 Posted January 1, 2010 Author Report Posted January 1, 2010 what are the problems you are suffereing from with the air-con?has the pump siezed up?does the clucth work? i bought an air-con pump from ebay(look at vw sharan/seat alhambra as well)but you have to make sure that they have the same part numbers. oh and welcome to the forum,darren. the belt was still turning but the pulley was going really slow got one from ebay went to fit it and it was the wrong one lol but when i looked at the old one properly and took the pulley of it i noticed that the bearing in the middle had half of the balls missing on the top part and all the casing was broken i dont think you can get the bearing out on its own so i was wondering if you can just buy the pulley with the bearing on its own hopefully thats all it is . the air con as never really worked properly as ive had it gassed once and some dye put in it for leaks but never had got around to taking it back but iknow it must have all leaked out again because it wasnt working lol and when i un done the pipes today nothing came out thanks for your help Quote
