Hi all.

I have recently invested in a 2003 Galaxy LX 1.9TDI, collect it early in the new year - yay! I have a few bits to sort out on the car and am hoping someone here can help me.

1 - The ford badge on the front grill needs replacing. I have ordered one from eBay but how does it attach?

2 - 3 of the headrests and gear stick gator need replacing, can anyone recommend anywhere in particular I can get a good price on them?

3 - Any suggestions on how to go about getting parking sensors fitted and is it difficult to do?

Thanks in advance for any help. Seems like a good site and a wealth of knowledge I will no doubt be dipping into over the next few years

Benn,

1. If it is a proper badge and not a transfer then the badge is held on by a couple of nuts and the grill will need to come off to allow access.

2. Headrests, try your luck on ebay for someone who is breaking a Galaxy, for the gear stick gator, plenty available brand new on ebay again.

3. The parking sensor topic has been covered a few times already, try the 'search' facility.

I thought all ford badges were double sided spongy tape?

The Ford Badge on the front grill is held on by a sticky substance

Get a piece of fishing line about 6 inches long. Warm up the badge with a hairdryer to "loosen" the sticky stuff, then using a small flat head screwdiver, gently lift a corner of the badge up. Push the fishing wire under the gap and pull it backwards and forwards like a sawing motion, between the badge and the grill, moving across and under the badge. This will remove the badge from the grill. The new badge should have protective tape on it, and when you remove this, it reveals the sticky side. Stick on grill and admire.

e-bay or scrappies for No. 2 , sorry don't know about No. 3
