mumof4 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 well, my current baby is due its MOT beginning of Feb and to be honest, i dont think it will pass it and it will cost more to pass it than it cost me. so im looking for another car. After driving this one, i quite like the Auto gearbox and most def the 4wd aspect of it as its got me out of a couple of muddy situations. i was looking at another car like mine... but does anyone here have any thoughts on what i should go for?? Budget is 1k and needed for end of Jan. Any thoughts lads and lasses? Quote
jkspoff Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 (edited) Hi Maz, These are a quite alright, I used to have one many many years ago, they are quite solid for an American car and I think they still look quite cool: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1999-JEEP-CHEROKEE-T...#ht_1710wt_1167There are loads about to choose from, and several around your price range on ebay. Happy Christmas Edited December 20, 2009 by jkspoff Quote
mk2vr6 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 nice but way to dear to run! spares are pricey and the electrics are a bit tempermental! try http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MITSUBISHI-DELICA_W0...=item3efb13a360 its jap, spares are fairly easy to get, big forum, solid running gear, seats 7, only problem is the trim can be a bit fragile and dear to replace as parts of it are dealer only or ebay if your lucky! and it built like a tank which with you driving record could come in handy  Quote
jkspoff Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 (edited) There are loads of spare parts about for the Jeep Cherokee diesel nowadays, the cars themselves are very cheap to run, I used to get almost 500 miles on a tank of diesel. Just like most American cars the electrics can be a bit dodgy, but no more so than anything French ! They are DIY friendly too, with easy access to all engine and running gear. Not 7 seats though if thats what you're after, however they do 2 additional rear facing seats. Edited December 20, 2009 by jkspoff Quote
