Last week our Galaxy stalled while it was idling but it restarted first turn of the key so I thought nothing of it. Last night it died in the fast lane of the M5, fortunately we made the hard shoulder but clearly this was a bigger issue.

I left the side lights on and after a minute I turned the key, instantly the lights on the dash when out and all the warning bulbs were flickering and dim. I left it another minute and this time the lights stayed on and it started first turn of the key.

I put a new Bosch battery on it last month so I am reasonably certain that is OK, the diagnostics show no error codes and this morning it is running fine. Obviously there is an issue but any ideas guys?

It is a 2002 1.9TDi, engine code AUY.

Cheers

Catherine

Poor connection battery side? Check the Fuse/Connector block alongside the battery. It's renowned for burning out. Edited by Floydey
