j0nesy Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 where do i start i got fed up with messing around with the aux heater that i bought a fully recon one but when i put it on nothing i have removed the temp sencer and put a switch in but nothing i dont even hear the little pump clicking with i turn the ignition on has any1 come across this problem b4 or has any1 any idea how to get it going as its doing my head in this is the 2nd year i have tried to get the thing to work Quote

marinabrid Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 (edited) just a thought, give the heater a thump with a rubber mallett, after a summer of non use or sat on a shop shelf it may need waking up, i kid you not, that what i did with ours and it coughed into life.other than that, you may need to check the wiring supply to the heater for power, earth, etc,when i had probs a few years ago, it turned out to be the power sire to the small pump that pumps fuel to the heater, they are under the car in a messy place, near the fuel tank, the wires can get corroded and break off, thats what ours had, reconnected and heater worked. they seem linked somehow so the heater wont fire without the pump and the pump need the heater to tell it that it wants fuel.
