Stevoo Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 Got a problem with the light beam on me galaxy. The bulb beam isnt that great and seems a bit yellow, So i fitted some halfords extreme white bulbs and didnt make any differences. My N/S headlamp looks like the inside reflector has been pushed back!! (No pics as its dark)Is anyone else like that? please post pic of your so I can compare. When I kneel down the light beam doesnt blind me like most cars would. If i kneel right own and look up the beam is very bright. Is this a fault on the MK1's as when fitting bulbs it seems they are located at the top of the headlamp and not dead middle like most cars. My other car has Xenons so I know the gal will never match it but surely new bulbs should help?!?! lol Can headlamps be taken apart and cleaned then resealed? Quote
gregers Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 silly i know, but have you set them to lo with the selector switch?? Quote
Stevoo Posted December 6, 2009 Author Report Posted December 6, 2009 No mate ive tried all levels and o/s light moves but the beam just isnt bright enough Quote
mk2vr6 Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 yes the light units can be dismantled and cleaned, along the outer edge of the glass there are several clips that hold the glass to the main body, with these gently removed! you can seperate the glass from the main body as the portly chap said check the head light levelers are working correctly and that the lights have the full range of adjustment? if the one in question is stuck down you wont get the full spread of light Quote
