mpower_mz Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 (edited) The problem appeared a few months ago and is still there. Its a 2002 Sharan 1.9 TDI 115PS 113000 miles. The car just shakes when driving, it does not matter if its in gear or not. It seems like it shakes more when driving with a heavier load (5 people & full tank of diesel). Here is a list of whats been replaced: rear shock absorbers, front & rear anti-roll bushes, all 4 tyres (Bridgestone ER30C now), front & rear brake discs and pads, front wheel bearings, drivers side flange and stub shaft, dual mass flywheel, complete clutch, anti-roll links at front and gearbox oil, wheels balanced 5 times, wheel alignment done twice..... still doing that! Any ideas? I have read about Mirez's Galaxy having similar problems but mine seems to do it all the time mostly when cruising around 70mph. I tried to go faster to see if it disapears but no, 120mph and I can't see the rear view mirror due to vibration:-) help please! oh, by the way, i'm suspecting (cause thats what is probably left to replace) driveshafts, CV's, front shock absorbers, lower arms including all bushes. MACKER Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Hi Last year om my 2004 1.9 auto (77,000 mls) I had a bad vibration/wobble in the steering wheel dring acceleration after several checks and garage advice I replaced the drivers side inner CV joint and cured the problem. Maybe this might help. Quote

I finally cured mine by partx'ing it ;) No, to be honest I did fix it and it was driveshafts, or specifically the inner CV tripod joint things. I bought replacement driveshafts complete with CV's (new) from ebay and they actually made things slightly worse - which I assumed was because they were tighter and amplifing whatever the cause was. When I finally cracked and sent it to my local ford dealer for diagnostics (who are extreamly good and not your usual!) they came back then inner and outer CV's where "sloppy". After replacing both shaft assemblies at around Quote
