I presume owners of older Galaxies with kids have all had there plastic loudspeaker grills kicked in by little careless feet. Does anyone know of:

1. Where replacements can be bought economically?

2. Does anyone make a harder wearing version?

I bet the Ford designer who did them originally didn't have kids!!

Don't know how useful this solution may be, but I've replaced both rear door grilles with ford standard grilles, I might be daft but it is quite a job to remove the door trims, then re-gluing the plastic pillars on with a glue gun then returning to ford for the little yellow clips that you broke or are missing.....

So.... I removed the middle seat moved the two outer seats to line up with the rear seats and bingo... (touch wood) the grilles have survived, I have three kids and it seemed that the problem was the teenagers knees were exactly lined up with the centre of the grille... good design that...LOL

Any way OK I've lost a seat but the interior appears more roomy, easier access to the rear, more room for the kids and... hopefully no more damaged speaker grilles...

I know this isn't a solution for anyone that needs all seven seats all the time, but it seems to work for us.

Also I would like to get hold of some more substantial grilles If anyone locates any!

cheers,

Ian
