Hi does any one know possible cause of the front screen heated not working, also the back seems to work for about 1 minute then stops, dont really know where to start looking or is this a common fault ?? part numbes or possibe causes would help . thank you all, oh its a 2001 mk 2, 2.3 zetec

The only thing I can think of that could cause this would be a low voltage - the voltage must be above 13V for the front screen to switch on and the rear screen will turn off if a low voltage condition occurs. I assume you are running the engine when this occurs (the front screen needs the engine running to turn on) - measure the voltage on the battery terminals with the engine off and on. You should have around 12v with the engine off and around 14.5 with it on.

ok i will give that a go tomaz i was wondering if the relays was on a timer ???? or some thing

yes both screens are on timers, in your case they are in IIRC? the second level of the fuse board
