Saif Rehman Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 According to the handbook, the lens should prise off using a flat screwdriver from the bottom (there should be guide tabs at the top of the lens). Quote
andywhi Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Sorry to hijack this post but I can't start a new topic (newbie)! I have a problem with the notorious total closure system. All the windows wind themselves down as soon as I turn the ignition key off the ignition position. If I leave the car locked, after a few minutes the car will unlock itself and the windows will go down again. They all close if I lock the door with the key and keep it turned (as it should?) The car's a 98 Alhambra, and doesn't have the central locking module under the passenger seat (i've checked) as I was expecting to find one sat in a pool of water. The tailgate wiring in the rubber boot was in a poor state, so I've repaired that - there were a few possible shorts as there were bare wires. I checked the door wiring, they all seem to be in good order. Whether its a coincidence or not, the interior lights now only illuminate in the boot - not the front or middle ones. They switch on and off manually and the door switches work as it turns on and off the boot lights. This definately has only just started happening. The first hint of anything starting to go wrong was yesterday when I shut the tailgate - the lights flashed as though it had armed the alarm - after that the problem seems persistant. Could it be a short in the wiring caused a permenant fault in the central locking ECU, or is a reset possible? Any help would be very much appreciated - I've had to disconnect the battery just to prevent the car filling with rain! Quote
