I have a ford galaxy tdi 1.9 2003 any advice Thanks Joe Diesel's rev up on their own when they are excessively burning oil and in doing so produce lots of smoke - the normal culprit is the turbo allowing oil into the intake system, remove the bottom hose to the intercooler and see if its full of oil. tim-spam Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 That sounds reasonable to me. Quote

Mirez Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 As above really, but I'm almost of the opinion thats a little too cheap - just ensure you know what you are getting and that its got a warranty! And thats of course after you've had it diagnosed that the turbo is the bit that failed! Quote

p1joe Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 I have had the turbo checked and they said it seemed ok, is there anything else it might be? The garage may need to overhaul the top end of engine ? Quote
