splitrivet Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Hi guys hope someone can help just picked up my 6 month old 1.8 Td ghia read the manual from cover to cover and been trying to find out where you plug in your Ipod. The manual is so vague its untrue, I was hoping the radio had a USB connection as per the book but as Ive searched all over the car in vain I can only assume the manual was written to cover all models whether the offending device was fitted or not.Dont even get me started on pairing your Phone thats still a complete mystery and Ive been trying for an hour. I wouldnt mind but I'm no technology numbnuts I install & programme Phone/Data systems for a living. The radio is a Sony CD DAB by the way.Cheers,Bob Quote
Smilge Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Bob ...have a look in the glove box where there should be an Aux connector where you plug a 3.5mm stereo jack into. You'll need to select aux on the Head unit and make sure the aux setting is enabled within the menu. Trying to pair your phone ..... google "Ford bluetooth compatability" and see if yours is compatable .... should be at least good for handsfree. You'll need to de-bond any existing phones first and then try and connect from the handset and not from the head unit. When searching, the handset should find "Ford Audio". Once you've paired the phone it should connect everytime you get in the car when you switch the headunit on. Hope this helps. Quote
