hello again everyone,hope you can give me a little advice .

the car broke down today in the rain,it started missing for a few seconds then ran ok for a minute then broke down and wont start again.timing belt looks ok.

i have checked for spark at plugs and it is ok,also petrol is pumping at the injecter bar,i have removed and looked at the ecu under the passenger seat and all looks ok no wet or gunge of any kind, oiled and refitted all connections to electrical connections tried getting the ecu from behind the clocks out but cant get it to come out,removed clocks and bottom facia,driver side but cant see wats holding it in place, it looks like it slides into tabs on right side but it wont budge.

does anyone have any more ideas and how do i remove the ecu behind clocks#

i think i have a intimitant spark so i have ordered a crank shaft sensor as the wire on the old one looks very badly coroded,will let you know

Are you sure this isn't an intermittant immobilzer issue (relay 30) - what is the led on the drivers door doing when this is failing to start?
