Hi all. I have got 97/98 Galaxy 2.0 Aspen petrol. Recently i have got a loud clicking noise while driving coming from the fuse/relay box under drivers side . Have read reviews and comments about power supply relay 27 or 30 causing problems and wondered if it could be this causing my noises . I have seen the good article about locating and changing relay 30 but as not being very dextrous with this sort of thing have thought about taking it to the dealer or a sparky. Im wondering whether to continue driving until i can get it looked at and the possible damage it could cause if i do. All my lights and things seem to work ok apart from a dodgy speaker wire in drivers door. The photos in the article about changing relay 30 are great but as i have a Mark 1 my panel is different and my manual says power supply relay is no 3 so i wondered if access to my fuse/relays is the same ie on 3 levels like in photos or different? Any thoughts relay wise or whatever welcome guys.

Hi,

Is the clicking going for the entire duration of all journeys? Have you got a tow bar with electrics? If it is a loud clicking sound then perhaps is may be related to the towbar electrics - may be you have a short in one of the sockets that is causing the 'trailer relay' (or whatever that noise/alert thing is) to come on.

My relay 30 never made any clicking noises on its way out !

Thx for the replys. I havnt got a towbar fitted and yes the noise clicks during the journey mainly when i turn the wheel slightly or go over bumps etc. I have got warning light on the dash for airbag though and wonder whether it could be clock spring wiring causing this .Any other ideas please ?
