Got a flat for the first time havent got the tool to remove flower shape locking nut any advice appreciated

Are you member of a recovery service - e.g. The AA of The RAC as they have a tool which removes the locking nut, if not, then try Halfords or a motor factor.

PS, whereabouts exactly are you?

The halfords one is a "laser" made product and is compleatly crap without an air gun - the metal on the McGuard nut (the flower shaped one ;) ) is stronger then it can cut into. Any tyre place will be able to get it off for you though, normally for a

Also before you attempt to remove it in a rush to get the puncture repaired - It might be worth getting a can of tyre weld in the interim to get you back on the road.

It may be too late but McGuard can supply you with a replacement key, even if you dont have the serial number of the original.

 

Got one for (I think) 15 euros earlier on this year for my focus.

 

I havd to supply a pic of the front of the reg doc and photo ID to prove who I was.

Have you seen the weird little sockets you can buy - usually from pound shops etc. - with loads of magnetic pins inside that push in. They're meant to be good for removing bolts with knackered heads etc.

I've heard that they are useful for removing locking wheel nuts if you have lost your locking wheel nut key.

It might be worth a try?
