Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 2001 1.9 Tdi 115bhp

Hi,

 

Does anyone have instructions on where to locate and remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on a 2001 Ford Galaxy 1.9Tdi (2001 PD 115BHP).

But it doesn't show you exactly where it is.

 

I have used VAG-COM to check my car after noticing the temperature gauge was not moving sometimes, and it is picking up the following fault (even after clearing the code);

 

17664 - Engine Coolant Temp Sensor (G62): Open or Short to Plus P1256 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Mk2 Water temp sensor, How to find and change this unit.

 

Didn't remove the fuel filter, just removed the bracket and pushed it aside.

 

Be ready to bung the new sensor in as fluid rushes out!!
