popped into my local halfords this evening to check out the price for oil,AND THEY WANT 37 QUID FOR 5 LTRS,this is for halfords bog standard oil(pd version)that was a lot more the mobil oil and that came with a free GOLF UMBRELLA whoopee.

 

so yet another post on where is the cheapest place to obtain the correct il for a tdi.

info greatly appriciated.

but with the saving ive made on the fuel over the last year think i can just about buy a TANKER OF THE STUFF compared to YOU!!!! :P

Noooooooooo Noooooooo Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo or as Clarkson would say loserrrrrrrrr ! running on LPG and have been for the last 4 yrs as that bloody smelly oily diesel stuff is expensive as well lol :lol: Did i mention it's less than half the price of diesel ;) Sorry i couldn't resist !

;) 800 miles in a Galaxy, hmm nope not even if i used the petrol tank after ! but i bet it would cost me less to do the said miles and with all the money saved i could come back for nowt lol ! Sorry this is not helping your search for cheap oil is it! :lol:

well paid a visit to a car parts place today and i can get correct spec oil 5 lts(pd)for

Agree with Saif - you can't just put a message like that out there and then not tell us where you got it !! :ph34r:

 

As regards quality, is it from a known, reputable brand (I'm guessing not) ? Can you look them up online and see what kind of company they are? i.e. are they well established? do they offer a quality-guarantee? how big are they?

I would suggest that if you can see them online and they appear reputable, then they're definitely worth a go - these big brands tend to charge huge mark-up, so if you can get a lesser known but sound replacement, then go for it.

 

You could also post the brand name up here in case someone's heard of or used it. (Don't worry we're not snobby here !)
