scrappyloz Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I have just brought a 2000 facelift 2.3 automatic ford galaxy with 74000 miles on the clock. The gearbox was slipping very very badly so i dropped the sump and replaced the fluid (which was black). The gearbox pulls away now but only in second gear and only changes into 3rd and wont go into 4th. The gearbox still slips quite badly but at least the car now moves properly. PS the engine light is on (but the engine is perfect) Also the triptronic mode wont work. My motor factor recommenced AQ202 ATF fluid. Is this the correct fluid as i refuse to buy my fluid from the stealership due to the cost. I was also worried about the thick amount filings on the sump magnet. Does any one know how much there should be as mine was about 2-3 cms deep on the magnet. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Quote
